Cracks in the Islamist Curtain

NOTE: These "cracks in the Islamist curtain" do NOT indicate that Islam is reforming. What seems to be happening is that more and more people in the Moslem world are demanding the right NOT to be Moslem. They are demanding the right to criticize Islam. There is no indication that the Islamic religious authorities are thinking in terms of reform.

Frontpage Interview’s guest today is None Darwish, the co-founder of FormerMuslimsUnited.com [1] and the author of Cruel and Usual Punishment [2].

FP: Nonie Darwish, welcome to Frontpage Interview.

I would like to talk to you today a bit about the Muslim voices for change that are increasing through the Islamic world. There is an unprecedented defiance taking place behind the Islamic Curtain. Can you tell us what is transpiring?

Darwish: As you know, Jamie, I lived for 30 years in the cocoon of the Muslim world and I can see a huge change going on inside the Muslim world. More and more people are challenging the status quo.

After 9/11 and with constant recurring explosive Islamic terrorism, it has become harder for the Muslim establishment to keep the lid on Muslims questioning their system, religion and holy wars. Criticism of Islam is coming at them from every direction, putting Muslim clerics in a quagmire unable to honestly answer questions. Muslim scholars were never trained to answer questions critical of Islam or engage in hostile debate. But now, suddenly, they are challenged to the core like never before, not by Western critics, but by brave hosts of Arabic language shows from unidentified locations in the West and hosted by former Muslims and/or Egyptian Christian Copts.

Father Zakareya Botros rocks the Arab world with his show “Howard Al Hak” or “Honest Debate” when callers from various parts of the Muslim world call in renouncing Islam. Former Muslim turned Christian, Rachid Hmami, originally from Morocco, has a popular show “Fil Samim”, or “from the core”. Hmami, who is the son of a Muslim cleric, is eloquent, respectful with a calm and peaceful demeanor — a characteristic in sharp contrast to the angry loud and cursing image of many Muslim clerics.

The Muslim leadership is suddenly under a lot of pressure to answer taboo questions rarely ever asked before; taboo topics such as questioning the validity of the Qur’an, the life and marriage of Mohammad, his violent wars and assassinations, the fact that there is no minimum age for marriage of women in Islam and about ridiculous Fatwas regarding breast feeding of adult males by Muslim women and Muhammad’s urine as a cure. Muslim callers to these Arabic shows have proved beyond doubt how many Muslims have no clue as to what is written in their scriptures and religious laws.

Many Muslims are demanding answers from their religious leaders and for them to vigorously defend such criticism of Islam. However, not one Muslim cleric has answered the questions on people’s minds. Their response is more yelling, threatening, hate speech, paranoid accusations and propaganda of misinformation. This led Hmami and Father Zakaria, for instance, to personally challenge Muslim leaders to a debate. A well-known Muslim cleric was exposed to have lied when he accepted the challenge to debate on TV, but privately, on recorded phone call with Hmami, the Muslim cleric was evasive, lied and declined the invitation to the debate, giving ridiculous excuses.

FP: Where do we stand with the apostate issue?

Darwish: For the first time in Egyptian Islamic history, a number of apostates have come out publicly demanding their right choose to leave Islam and practice Christianity. Their demand was legally rejected and fatwas of death issued against them. Maher al-Gohari, Mohammed Higazi, and prominent feminist attorney Naglaa Al Imam, are among a few courageous ones.

From the number of callers to the shows who claim they left Islam, I believe the number of apostates inside the Muslim world to be significant but are mostly silent. The main power of Islam and its clerics lie in the Muslim death sentence for apostasy and blasphemy. A number of apostates living in the West have greatly impacted the Muslim world. Among those are Wafa Sultan, the Italian/Egyptian Magdi Allam who was baptized by the Pope, Ibn Warraq and myself, and many others such as several former graduates of the Islamic Al Azhar University living today in the West.

I have received a recently released Arabic poem claimed to have been written by Taha Hussein, the prominent Egyptian father of Arabic literature 1889-1973. The highly intellectual and well written poem is extremely critical of the God of Islam and admits the apostasy of its writer. Hussein was once prosecuted with the accusation of insulting Islam. Challenges to Islam are coming from intellectuals, artists and journalists across the Muslim world, such as the Egyptian Sayed El Qemany; they must walk a fine line lest they get accused of apostasy or blasphemy.

While this trend challenging Islam is significant when compared to recent history, we must caution from being over optimistic for a reformation in Islam since the new trend is still in its infancy and has not yet established itself legitimately to become part of the mainstream. The reaction to such a challenge is intense and often violently lashing out in the form of acts of threat and terror. Some Muslim people of influence have admitted recently that terrorism is a Muslim commandment. On January of 2006, a member of Egyptian Parliament, “Ragab Hilal Hamida’, said from the floor of the Egyptian Parliament that “the Quran directly commands us to commit terrorism, so why are we afraid of it?”

What is without denial is that Islam today is in turmoil and going through growing pains, tearing Muslim society apart. My fear is that while Islam is in the process of finding itself it might bring down others with it.

FP: While you caution over-optimism, what effects do you think this defiance might have? What are the possibilities?

Darwish: Such defiance to bring about much needed change in the Muslim world will, hopefully, bring its intended goals of respect for human rights, women’s rights, democracy and the end of Islamic violent jihad and the hate-filled educational system against non-Muslims. But before we celebrate the beginning of the trend towards Islamic reformation, [NOTE: So far, not only NO trend, but NO sign at all! The examples earlier in the article do NOT indicate anything about Islamic reformation. What they indicate is a rising level of protest against Islam. That is quite a different thing!] we must realize how huge the magnitude of such change will be. It will take decades if not more. The outcome is not guaranteed, and it will come at a heavy price in violence, civil unrest, oil embargoes, and sadly with lots of innocent victims both inside the Muslim world and also in the West. And I mean this in the context of terror attacks.

Some view Islamic terrorism as a sign of power, which in many aspects it is, but it is also a sign of a desperate culture trying to shut off the shining light of freedom in the world surrounding it.
The reason for such a grim process is because 1.2 billion Muslims around the world are starting to wake up bit by bit to realize that they have been spoonfed total lies and fabrications for centuries about their own religion as well as the world outside of Islam. The greatest taqiyya (holy lie), and perhaps one of the greatest in history, is the one perpetrated on the average Muslim man and woman by their religious leaders, the men of Allah they are supposed to trust. Such an awakening will result in gradual but steady violence – which is already starting to bubble up in many Muslim countries.

The nations affected by the Islamic crisis will not only be Muslim, but also Western nations which took huge numbers of Muslim immigrants. Israel and the West, as usual, will be blamed for Muslim internal civil unrest [NOTE: Again, this civil unrest is NOT Islamic reform!] and thus will suffer from terror attempts and shooting at them as a means to end Muslim internal civil unrest. Saudi Arabia and Egypt, the two nations that produced the 9/11 terrorist, are already under internal threat and violence coming from terror groups such as ‘Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula’ and ‘the Muslim Brotherhood’ who cannot wait to destroy the regimes in both nations.

I am worried about what will happen in the coming decades to the world while Islam is undergoing possible reform and change. [NOTE: Darwish has not given any indication that Islam is undergoing reform. She has indicated that Islam is under attack.] The Muslim world right now is a disaster waiting to happen. They are living above a volcano that can explode any time. The status quo in Muslim countries cannot continue and Muslims are discovering they have been in massive tyranny and terror for 1400 years. Muslims are leaving Islam in large numbers and more will leave if the apostasy death penalty is lifted. Tyranny cannot last for ever, not even under Sharia Law.

Where this trend will take Islam is unpredictable, but change is certain. It can take the Muslim world to a great reformation but it can also take them and the rest of the world to a horrible confrontation and a period of decline and downfall. Islam, like communism, will probably never disappear, but eventually if Islam does not reform, it will be discredited as a religion. [NOTE: YES! That is the hope!]

FP: What can Westerners do to help inflict cracks into the Islamic Curtain?

Darwish: The first thing is get out of the way when Islam is about to explode, and it will. Muslim countries need not be rescued and they need to fall on their own and grow on their own. Do not try to help or hurt if a civil war happens in Saudi Arabia or Egypt. If we cannot have oil for a while, then let it be. When we try to help a Muslim country from self -destruction, due to Muslim on Muslim atrocities, like what happened to Kuwait by Iraq, we take away their ability to recognize their internal issues, see their true enemies and why they are in trouble.

The West must realize that it is not doing itself or the Muslim world a favor by political correctness — which actually has a negative effect on Muslims trying to reform their system. Western PC is telling them we just love you the way you are, terrorism, hate speech, good and bad, we still love you. The West must demand reciprocity and equal treatment from Muslim countries. If they build mosques in the US then we must have the right to build a Church in Saudi Arabia and other Muslim countries. By accepting a one way cultural impact from Islam, we are welcoming a disaster waiting to happen.

Western governments so far have been ignoring Muslim critics and reformers who fully understand the problem and have been only strictly dealing with Muslim groups, such as CAIR and others whose goals are in fact as Islamist as the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas. It is time for Western officials to give respect to Muslim critics, reformists [NOTE: WHERE ARE THEY??] and former Muslims.

And finally, Western victims of Islamic terror need to file a huge class action suit against Saudi Arabia and all countries that produced terrorists who are the product of their hateful jihadist educational system. They cannot claim innocence.

FP: What are your primary concerns today? What is on your mind and what worries you the most in terms of the topic we are discussing here today?

Darwish: My fear concerns the safety and security of America and Western democracy. This threat is real and we must never underestimate it. While Muslim/Arab countries are undergoing major change, internal civil unrest and violence, there will be horrific acts of violence against Israel and Western nations in the near future. Remember in the Gulf war when Saddam was desperate, he started shooting at Israel. The same thing happened in Gaza when Hamas and Fatah were fighting; they also started shooting at Israel. When Israel shoots back for self protection, that is when Muslims end their massacres between themselves.

I am also concerned about the many innocent beautiful people of the Middle East — who are after all my people. The violence has already started there and I fear for the Christian minorities as well.

FP: Nonie Darwish, thank you for joining us. Thank you for being such a courageous and noble freedom fighter.

I'm tired of being told that Islam is a "Religion of Peace," when every day I can read dozens of stories of Muslim men killing their sisters, wives and daughters for their family "honor"; of Muslims rioting over some slight offense; of Muslims murdering Christians and Jews because they aren't "believers"; of Muslims burning schools for girls; of Muslims stoning teenage rape victims to death for "adultery"; of Muslims mutilating the genitals of little girls; all in the name of Allah, because the Qur'an and Shari'a law tells them to.

Recent media reports indicate imminent Mumbai type Jihadi attacks around the world.

Nowhere is the tension and fear from Jihadi attacks more evident than in the major cities of New York, London, Zurich, Madrid, Rome, Mumbai and New Delhi. Since Jihadis have an exclusive patent for terrorism, citizens are worried, fearful and scared. Jihadi terrorists could strike at any moment in any city at any time at their choice. No democratic country is safe from Islamists who are dead set against democracy, modernism, coexistence, religious tolerance, and secularism.

Jihadis who fight against infidels and our civilization in the name of the Islamic past fight with modern weapons of every kind against innocent people without fear, guilt, or shame. In this context, citizens are traumatized, and they are changing their behavior and life style. Their hopes for a peaceful existence are shattered.

What can one do to feel safe again in our own country? Secular political leaders and security officials warn us against terrorist attacks. They are only dimly aware of who the people behind terrorism are, why they are terrorizing us, and the motivating ideology of these terrorists. The lack of their clarity and deliberate failure to inform the public about terrorists and their deadly ideology make us even more anxious and cautious.

It is time for citizens to study this ideology. What motivates these terrorists who make us tremble and unable to live life for our dreams and our faith? The greatest shame is that our liberal politicians, leftist intellectuals and pro-Islamist media are silent on Jihadi terrorism. Their silence or open support for Jihadi terrorists with phony root cause theories is deceptive.

Why do these deceptive politicians and liberal intellectuals fail to stand up and fight for our constitution, liberty, life and values? Why are they colluding with our tormenters? Why are they not demanding that hatred from the Koran be expunged?

By colluding with Jihadis and keeping silent about the deadly Islamic ideology, they put our life at risk. It is difficult for citizens who want to live in peace to swallow Jihadi hatred and their death defying criminal acts. Our values, freedom, life as well as our civilization hang in the balance. We cannot depend on phony secularists and leftist intellectuals to save us. Their views are quite pathetic.

They are not going to guide us or ready to provide us any solution. Marxist intellectuals and bogus secularists have become a tool in the hands of Islamic terrorists in advancing their political agenda and Islamo fascism in which the terrorism is perpetuated. What Should One Do?

Citizens are part of the solution. Despite the fact that Jihadi terrorist assault the citizens of our country, individuals are reluctant to take realistic responses. It is a paradox. People have acquired "banner blindness", "denial", apathy and indifference.

After so many jihadi terrorist attacks are perpetrated, people are habituated to terrorism. Jihadis kill innocent people; destroy our property and spread hatred and fear. But citizens have become inoculated against the terrorists. And these habituated citizens who are inoculated and hide behind a thick wall of denial no longer can react. It is time for us to get our heads out of the sand and fight the great fight.

The crooks, the degenerates and bogus secularists who run away from freedom and responsibility are ripping to pieces our value system, our freedom and our future. Common sense suggests that citizens have the right to identify people trying to ferment violence, spread hatred and terror in our country. With unlimited petro dollars, Jihadi terrorists are gathered up to oppress us, terrorize us, scare us, and impose the tyranny of Islam.

The time has come for the public to take appropriate action. Jihadis are trying to instill fear in us. If we stand up and stand united, we will become more powerful and the Jihadis cannot put us in psychological trauma. We can fight back with determination. A strong determined assault on Islamists will preclude them from undermining our sense of security and disrupting our everyday life.

We cannot prevail tomorrow or live in peace and tranquility without courageous action today. If we must meet the challenges today with strength, will power and determination in order to insure our future well-being. By acting today against our enemies who are willing to die for their past, we are choosing our future and the future of children and our grand children yet to be born. Let us stand together and make our country great. Let us preserve our freedom and security.

FITNA Explained

Fitna and the Kafir: Part One

Why do cartoons constitute a capital crime in Islam? Why did writing 'The Satanic Verses' bring a death sentence and bounty upon Sir Salman Rushdie? Why does a military psychiatrist fire more than 100 rounds into an unarmed crowd he was trained to heal? Why do Muslims express violent anger concerning differences of religious opinion? The one-word answer to these questions is 'FITNA'.

Fitna is one of the most important concepts in Islam, but it is a totally alien concept to Western philosophy. The concept of fitna totally abnegates our notions of free expression or logical discourse. The concept of fitna subjugates all thought to the method of Mohammed.

Fitna is spotted by the mullahs who also pick the Islamic response to it. In response to the Danish cartoons, they instructed Muslims to riot. Grand Imam Sayyed Tantawi, the paramount authority in Islam, demanded the closing of Jyllands Posten to prevent further fitna. Muslims studiously avoid the word fitna when talking to infidels.

What is fitna then?

The definition is surprisingly simple: Fitna is any disagreement with Mohammed. More precisely, Fitna is any islamicly-incorrect thought which is communicated to others in the public domain.

This definition fits all the confusing facts and makes sense of all the Islamic dualisms. Fitna is a thought crime. Fitna is a dualistic cocktail of blasphemy and treason.

As with almost everything in Islam, fitna is very hard to explain, because it is couched in Islamic dualism. Even Muslims have trouble explaining it, but they can identify it when they see it. And when they see it, they react violently.

There are two distinctly different classes of fitna: inter-Islamic fitna and infidel fitna. In relation to the evil infidels, fitna means 'tempting', 'enticing' or 'luring' another to disagree with Mohammed. Fitna comes from an old Arabic word that means removing the dross from pure metal. Pure Islam is held in check by fitna, so it must be purged.

In modern Islamic usage, fitna is used to describe ideas that cause controversy, testing, fragmentation, scandal, chaos, or discord, disturbing social peace and order within the Muslim community, …such things as openly disagreeing with the head of state of Egypt or Iran or with something found in Sharia law. When a professor at an Arab university quotes original research on the primary sources of Islam, he is immediately accused of fitna and his life is simultaneously threatened. Inter-Islamic fitna is what most Muslims understand when they think of the word 'fitna'.

Muslims cast a veil over 'kafir fitna'…the politically incorrect free speech of wicked infidels that justifies jihad and brings Allah's just punishment upon them.

Mohammed discovered a brilliant way to criminalize differences of opinion with himself. He called his invention 'fitna' and made it the worst crime in his new religion. Any utterance that tests Mohammed's method is a chargeable offence and a capital crime if it persists. The religious charge of blasphemy veils the serious political charge of treason against Mohammed.

Mohammed is Allah's vice-regent on earth. Not only does Mohammed define the truth, but he has a right to punish those who disagree. Moreover, Mohammed is both the constitution and the Islamic state. By disagreeing with Mohammed, you are calling him wrong, in error or worse yet a liar. That is slander and character assassination, but it is also the crime of treason against the Islamic Nation.

The Koran likes to say infidels are accusing Mohammed of being a liar, since that sounds more dramatic and culpable. The Koran commands the punishment of fitna after making it sound reprehensible. Anyone disagreeing with Mohammed in any way has become an enemy of the state who should be treated severely and with violence.

Private disagreements with Mohammed are acceptable, as long as they do not reach the eyes or ears of Muslims. However, public disagreement demands public Islamic punishment. 'Punishment' euphemistically means the death penalty, normatively by beheading.

In the Islamic religion, Mohammed is the only one who speaks for God. Disputing Mohammed's religious monopoly in public means disagreeing with God Himself…thus putting Allah to the test before Muslims. If Allah has lost face in public, his honor and control of the situation can only be restored by violence. To disagree publicly with Mohammed is to call Mohammed and Allah liars. Koran 29:63 - "Who does more harm than he who tells a lie against Allah?" No one! Anyone who suggests Allah or Mohammed are fakes is the worst criminal.

The Koran tells us that words disputing Mohammed/Allah are more criminal than the deed of murder. This does not make sense.

Obviously, something else is going on under the blanket of religion. That something is a political doctrine called 'supremacism'.

In art, an object is sometimes defined, not by positive use of color, but by negative space and the use of shadow. Fitna reveals Islam's key doctrine of Mohammed's supremacy veiled in shadow. Undermining Mohammed's authority does more harm than anything!

As far as Muslims are concerned, the fact that infidels have wrong thoughts in private is bad enough. The divine plan is for the whole world to agree openly that Mohammed is right. In the meantime, it is good for the infidels to be under Islamic control.

In normative Islam, the public utterance of disagreement with Mohammed is worthy of death. Practically, why is this so?

The death sentence is required for the sake of the political harm done to the Islamic chain of command and the readiness of Muslims as a solid fighting force (Koran 61:4).

Basically, all Muslims constitute one army of which Mohammed is the head. First and foremost, every Muslim male is a potential soldier…a holy warrior…a jihadist. If Islam is to go forward, the Muslim male needs to be emotionally, psychologically and mentally ready for jihad and the Islamic community needs to enthusiastically support jihad.

Jihad is Mohammed's method, the way Islam grows. Mohammed is the only expert on Islam. Anything that stands in the way of jihad is evil, satanic and treasonous! Satan and his followers need to be weakened and destroyed or at a minimum brought under the coercive control of the Islamic state. The Islamic army will be ready only if there is an absence of fitna, so fitna control means information control. Information control precedes jihad.

The tactic of information control was first demonstrated by Mohammed by assassinating his vocal critics, usually at night. Mohammed also gave his complete support to freelance assassins who murdered family members who criticized Mohammed at home…also usually at night.

Disagreeing with Mohammed is not permissible if a Muslim is present or becomes aware of it. Mohammed used violence to stamp out the utterance of disagreement and he approved of others who did the same on their own initiative. Mohammed is the role model for all Muslims to emulate.

Assassination is the normative punishment for the crime of fitna. Killing a critic of Islam is a good deed, since it restores the honor of Allah/Mohammed and removes the threat of fitna from the community. Any Muslim is free to carry out the death sentence in the matter of fitna. In Sharia-dominated countries, no punishment will be given and the killer will be a hero. As well, the assassin is guaranteed entry to the highest rank in paradise.

Grand Imam Sayyed Tantawi, the leading cleric of the four Sunni sects declared, 'Muslims are allowed to fight against them (critics), but only to the extent of making them aware that they should not become enemies of Islam.' Here we have the foremost Muslim in the world stating publicly that infidels should be 'fought' (treated violently) if they disagree with Mohammed. Since Tantawi speaks for 90% of Muslims, violence against critics of Islam remains an official dogma of mainstream Sunni Islam. Sunnis number almost one billion.

Most Westerners believed Muslims were angered that Kurt Westergaard (the cartoonist who drew the Mohammed turban-bomb cartoon) called Mohammed, or by extension, that he called all Muslims-violent! Westerners believed their message was: 'Don't say Islam is violent or we'll kill you!'

But Islamic violence is not the issue. Muslims know that Mohammed is violent and that he is their role model. They revel in it. It makes them feel strong and proud.

Jihad is holy violence. Violence is the way Allah removes fitna, removes the dross from pure Islam and removes the infidel scum from the earth which is owned by Mohammed. (Bukhari 4:52:220)

No! Muslims were angered that the Danish cartoonists disagreed with Mohammed, and said so in public. That was political fitna and a crime against honor.

The cartoonists disagreed that Mohammed's violent method is right and made fun of it. The cartoonists removed Mohammed's halo. As a consequence, Allah and Mohammed both lost face. If Allah/Mohammed said violence against the infidels is right… and the infidels laugh at Allah's Divine Command…the infidels obviously need to be taught a lesson. The infidels need to accept that Mohammed owns the earth and their position is one of political inferiority to Muslims. Islamic supremacism is Allah's divine plan and violence is Mohammed's method.

The infidels are to be brought under the control of the Islamic state in thought, word and deed and they are given no choice in submitting to it or not. Allah commanded violence so the infidels will be forced to receive the divine benefit of Islam…'even if the infidels are averse to it!' (Koran 9:33)"

Muslim logic is: The infidels do not understand. They are blinded by Satan. Muslims have to use violence to help the infidels. The infidels should be in terror of Allah and the coercive power of the Islamic Nation. It is for their own good. Allah is great! And has the ability to do all things. And Allah knows best!

That final phrase ends every Islamic verdict and the deeds of jihad follow. Further disagreement is impossible.

Throughout the West, the infidels did not understand! The purpose of the cartoon riots was not to reassert the lost human rights of Muslims under the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, but to proclaim the political supremacy of Muslims over the infidels and show the willingness of Muslims to support jihad and bring the infidels under their control. Put negatively, the purpose of the cartoon riots was to declare the inferiority of infidels, who should know their place and commit no more 'fitna'. That is…the infidels needed to learn not to disagree with Mohammed in public.

Manhattan Declaration

On November 20, 2009, a group of Catholic, Orthodox and Protestant clergy, academics, and organizational leaders recently signed and released a remarkable document of collective Christian conscience and commitment called the Manhattan Declaration: A Call of Christian Conscience (visit http://www.manhattandeclaration.org/).

The Declaration is not a partisan or political statement. It addresses and elevates four specific areas of universal consensus or "threshold issues." These are:

(1) The sanctity of human life.
(2) The sanctity of marriage.
(3) The protection of religious liberty.
(4) The rejection of unjust laws.

What can Local Citizens do to Stop Radical Islam?

Radical Islamists (jihadists) invade countries by any means possible to gain the upper hand; typically through immigration, non-violent and violent methods. They encroach upon a country’s freedoms to establish a repressive and fascist form of Islamic (Sharia) law. What can one do to help stop this? A list of things that you can do is provided below.

1. Join ACT! for America; participate in local chapters; share email articles; sign petitions; provide funding. Visit Brigitte Gabriel’s two websites and view her story: http://www.americancongressfortruth.com/, and http://www.actforamerica.org/. Read her two books: Because They Hate, St. Martin’s Press, New York, 2006; and They Must Be Stopped, St. Martin’s Press, New York, 2008.

2. Study about Islam: (1) attributes of Allah; (2) teachings of Mohammed; (3) fusion of religion and politics, political Islam; (4) the Islamic trilogy (Koran, Sira, and Hadith); (5) Islamic ethics – duality, Islamic superiority, submission, taqya; (6) unbelievers, kafirs, infidels, hypocrites, and apostates; (7) Islamic (Sharia) law and finance; (8) dhimmitude and jizya; (9) conflict between Islam and “man’s laws” (e.g., the Constitution) and why good Muslims cannot swear allegiance to the US; (10) lack of women’s rights; (11) physical jihad – use of violence and terror; (12) subversion of host-country’s laws; (13) Islamic rules of war; (14) use of taqya; (15) People of the Book; (16) use of Islamic immigration; (17) Wahhabism; (18) the umma; Dar Al Islam and Dar Al Harb; (19) Islamic peace. Activity -- write a paragraph or two about each topic.

3. View/discuss jihadist-oriented videos: (1) Fitna; (2) Obsession; and (3) The Third Jihad, and share them with friends. Encourage your liberal/non-religious friends to see Religulous, and your patriotic, Christian, or Jewish friends to see An American Carol. (Both movies broach the subject of jihad. Afterwards, the topic may be easier to discuss.)

4. Become familiar with the Koran. Some good sites are: (1) The Koran, translated by N.J. Dawood, Penguin Classics; (2) The Glorious Qu’ran, translated by Abdullah Yusuf Ali. This translation is used by American mosques and by CAIR. A free copy can typically be picked up at any local mosque; (3) A searchable Koran created by the MSA that includes three simultaneous English translations: www.usc.edu/dept/mas/quran.

5. Study websites about Islam. Some good sites are: (1) Robert Spencer’s website about jihad: http://www.jihadwatch.com/; (2) Website run by ex-Muslims: http://www.fathfreedom.org/; (3) Muslim website about Muslims, with official state sponsorship: http://www.memri.org/. Invaluable for its presentation and translation of Arabic and Iranian topics. Contrast this to what Muslims tell non-Muslims; (4) a Muslim religious website for Muslims: http://www.islamonline.com/, click on “Fatwah and Counseling;” (5) another Muslim religious website for Muslims. http://www.islam-qa.com/, click on the English version.

6. Study websites regarding grass-root activities to stop radical Islam. Some good sites are: (1) http://www.citizenwarrior.com/; and (2) Mapping-Sharia Project at http://atlasshrugs2000.typepad.com/atlas_shrugs/2007/06/mapping_sharia.html. Do a Google search on related topics listed in paragraph 2 above, among others.

8. Learn about CAIR (Council on American Islamic Relations) and MSA (Muslim Student’s Association). Get active in local school councils to stop Islamization of textbooks and “Jihad on Campus” activities at schools and universities, etc.

9. Urge politicians to be aware of the true nature of (radical) Islam and to take actions to stop its relentless encroachment.

10. Submit articles to local newspapers that address the true aspects of Islam – especially “radical” Islam.

11. Purchase and use “ACT! for America” business cards at meetings etc. (you can make free cards at: http://www.vistaprint.com/).

12. Join related political/social clubs and ask to give talks about “true” nature of Islam (a 3-5 page handout is recommended).

Correlating Biblical and Physical Creation

Ever wonder how biblical creation can be correlated with physical creation? Well, an interdenominational ministry in San Dimas California is working to do just that; this ministry is called Reasons To Believe! Check them out at http://www.reasons.org/ I did about five years ago, and, due to their work, became a Christian! I am also a Christian because I believe that in the end, Christ's teaching that we love others as we love ourselves will win the battle against other religions and belief systems that are attempting to dominate the world through the use of force and intimidation.
